Sandy WestSandy is an organizational talent strategy consultant and executive coach with over 30 years of experience working with Fortune 500 companies, start-ups and non-profit organizations. Her practice is focused on driving results through effective business and talent strategies. She believes discovering organizational and individual "exceptionality" - unique strengths, specialities and gifts - and developing them are essential to creating engaged employees and high-performing cultures that drive results and exceed goals.
In 2007, Sandy founded Lighthouse Consulting to help businesses succeed by strengthening and leveraging their culture and talent. Prior to that, she was the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for L Brands (NYSE: LB), a $10 billion, multi-brand business with more than 120,000 associates. As the CHRO, she was a key member of the seven-person enterprise executive committee responsible for business strategy and operations. In her HR role, she led a team of 350 HR professionals with responsibility for talent acquisition, retention and development, succession planning, rewards and recognition. She drove a multi-year shared services transformation project encompassing the integration of functions across the enterprise to leverage resources. Earlier in her career, Sandy was Executive Vice President of Human Resources for Victoria's Secret. and a member of the executive leadership team driving an explosive period of growth for the brand. She also held multiple leadership roles at Limited Stores, Victoria's Secret Direct, and Federated Department Stores.
Sandy serves on many boards including the Board of Directors for Ervin Industries, an international business based in Michigan. She has a passion for philanthropy and is dedicated to improving the lives of women and children. Her work has included board positions with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio, the boards of the YWCA and YWCA Endowment, Franklin County Children's Services, the Wexner Center Council and The Valentine Project. She is currently the President of the Boys and Girls Club of Hilton Head Island and board member of the Boys and Girls Club of the Lowcountry. She chaired in 2017-2018 the Vision Project Management Team for the Town of Hilton Head Island. The Vision Project involved six other community leaders, partnering with an internationally recognized consulting firm and the entire community to ensure an open, transparent and inclusive process to develop a vision for Hilton Head Island for 2040. In 2018, Sandy was invited to join the Greater Island Council, a non-profit, nonpartisan organization of community leaders with the goal to improve the quality of life for all citizens of Hilton Head Island.
Through her career and philanthropic efforts, Sandy strives to make a difference for organizations and people. From the clients she coaches and counsels to meet their development and organization goals to the women and children benefiting from her fundraising efforts, Sandy is passionate about making a positive impact.
Stephen Hasley, D. Min, CMF, has over 25 years of experience in the Career / Talent Management field.
Dr. Hasley was Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Columbus, Ohio office of Lee Hecht Harrison (LHH), a global talent management firm before starting lighthouse consulting. Before assuming the leadership role for the Columbus office, Steve held various positions with LHH including Vice President and Director of Professional Services, Vice President – Administration and Senior Consultant.
Over his career, Steve has worked with clients from entry level to C-level in all phases of career management including career change, career development and career transition. He has developed a proprietary process using a variety of traditional career assessment tools to help his clients clarify and define both life and career goals.
In addition to his career management experience, Steve is a certified Executive Coach with over 20 years of experience. In this capacity, he has worked with senior executives to enhance their leadership competencies and behaviors and with high potential individuals to assist them in assuming more responsible leadership roles with a company.
Much of Steve’s work has been done with individuals, but he also has solid experience consulting with companies on their workforce needs and priorities, career development strategies for their associates, and leadership capabilities of senior management teams.
Prior to his career development career, Steve was a minister for 14 years and is an honorably retired ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church, USA. Steve currently volunteers in the Stephen's ministry at Lowcountry Presbyterian Church and serves on the board of The Lean Ensamble Theater.
Steve received a B.A. in Philosophy from Muskingum College and a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry, specializing in organizational behavior from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. He holds certificates as a Career Management Fellow (CMF) through the International Board of Career Management Certification and is a certified Executive Coach having completed a two-year LHH executive certification process.
